Work experience

  • Senior UI/UX designer at Quantifi Photonics. 2020 to 2024 - Auckland, New Zealand

    Liaising with the senior leadership team, stakeholders, beta test clients and software developers to create a uniquely intuitive interface for multiple, highly-detailed, highly-technical software.

    Creating software designs that align with the company's brand, and stands out against competitors by feeling like a highly polished luxury product.

    Capturing and collating user feedback from all sources. Synthesising this feedback into useful data to iterate on software design, ensuring it is adapted to user needs and expectations.

    Communicating UI design goals and UX design requirements to relevant teams (software developers, stakeholders, executives) both face to face and via extensive documentation.

    Running workshops with specialists to brainstorm and adapt software features to best represent user expectations. Helping to train others to run similar workshops with clients at international locations.

    Working side by side with the software development team in order to create simpler solutions to facilitate meeting deadlines during time crunch periods.

    Setting up and running design and co-design workshops and summarising workshop data into cohesive documents outlining opportunities for improving services

    Running IDEO and D-school workshops to teach design principles to the customer experience and service design teams in an effort to upskill and educate about good design practice.
